My Philosophy

The heart of occupational therapy very much lies in the belief that all children deserve to be understood and, most importantly, celebrated. Getting to know the children I work with – their interests, their strengths, their goals – is my favourite and arguably the most important part of the job. That is where meaningful intervention starts.

My biggest strength may just be my enthusiasm, and my ability to meet a child where they’re at. Whether it’s a child finally accessing education with confidence, learning to hold a pen or tie their shoes, finding calm in their environment, or walking through the school gates with ease – The sheer volume of moments there are to celebrate within OT is unmatched.

Above all else, I believe that occupational therapy should be meaningful. It’s not just about completing exercises or ticking boxes. It’s about helping children do the things that matter to them – Be that playing, learning, connecting with others, or simply just enjoying their little selves. Every intervention is designed and crafted with that purpose in mind.
